The quality Liscio is tufted from yarn made out of Lyocell fibres of the brand TENCEL™. Lyocell fibres are of botanical origin since they are extracted from the raw material wood. The wood is obtained from eucalyptus trees from a certified forest with an official FSC quality mark. The wood pulp is transformed into cellulosic fibres with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact, it marks the fibre production itself as extremely environmentally friendly.

The smooth structure of the fibres gives Liscio a beautiful shine and is particularly silky soft. It gives the rug a luxurious, soft velvety surface. It is a characteristic of the rug that it is subject to seating or pressure marking, this occurs due to change of light reflection which is naturally reversible during use.

Lyocell is cooler than linen and stronger than polyester. It has a very good moisture management system. The hydrophilic yarn absorbs moisture completely and naturally, which eventually will evaporate.
